Duo Gerber-Woiz

Duo Gerber-Woiz is an Argentine tango ensemble based in Berlin, Germany, comprising bandoneonist Christian Gerber and pianist Pablo Woiz. Gerber, born May 29, 1976, in Hannover, is one of Europe’s most sought-after bandoneon players, known for founding Quinteto Ángel in 2001 and performing with renowned tango ensembles including Tangocrash, Stazo Mayor, and the Isabelle van Keulen Ensemble. Argentine-born Woiz has resided in Berlin since 2007, working as a pianist, arranger, composer, and teacher. He has collaborated with tango legends including Juan José Mosalini, Luis Stazo, and Alberto Podestá, and leads projects such as Pablo Woiz & Milonga Roots, which explores the African-rooted rhythms of Rio de la Plata music. Duo Gerber-Woiz performs together at Berlin’s tango events, including Milonga Intimacy, returning to traditional Argentine tango while adding fresh artistic interpretations.
