About

Tango En Vivo is a Moscow-based tango orchestra formed in late 2015 by bandoneonist Ivan Talanin (b. January 24, 1987, Novosibirsk). The ensemble comprises Talanin on bandoneon, violinist Anton Semke, pianist Dmitriy Kiselev, and bassist Gleb Izotov. Within its first year of formation, the group released their debut album “El Classico” (2016) and quickly gained recognition, performing at Buenos Aires’ prestigious venues including La Viruta and Salón Canning, as well as the Tango BA Festival y Mundial in August 2016. The orchestra is recognized for its author’s arrangements and virtuoso musicianship, blending classical tango repertoire with contemporary interpretations. Since 2016, Tango En Vivo has collaborated extensively with Russian theater and entertainment productions, expanding their profile beyond traditional tango milongas. Subsequent albums include “Abrazo” (2018) and “Ojos Negros” (2021). The ensemble has performed internationally across Europe, the United States, and beyond, maintaining an active recording and touring schedule into the present decade.
