About
Orquesta Típica Misteriosa Buenos Aires is a contemporary tango ensemble established in 2008 as a “refreshing tango dance musical proposal, picking up the legacy of the great orchestras of the 1940s.” Based in Buenos Aires, the orchestra performs a diverse repertoire spanning classic tangos, new compositions, tango-rock fusions, valses, milongas, milongas-candombe, and Argentine folklore. The ensemble maintains active performance schedules at traditional milongas across Buenos Aires while releasing studio recordings. Since their debut album Música para bailar in 2008, they have established themselves as representatives of contemporary tango music that honors traditional styles while incorporating modern creative approaches.
