About
La Fortuna Tango Orchestra is a contemporary tango ensemble based in Antalya, Turkey, led by violinist Ozan Gedik. The orchestra features Argentine bandoneonist Gustavo Battistessa, pianist Buğra Yüksel, and double bassist Emre Kuytu. Known for performing a repertoire of approximately 24 tango pieces per evening, including Argentine waltzes and milongas, the ensemble represents the modern European tango scene’s engagement with Argentine tradition. The orchestra has performed at international tango festivals including the 2022 İzmir Tango Festival. The ensemble combines Turkish and Argentine musicians in a cosmopolitan approach to tango performance, active particularly in the 2020s across European and Turkish venues.
