Feb 21, 2025 — Feb 25, 2025 · Berlin
Lorena Tarantino and Gianpiero Galdi are coming back to Berlin! For the third time, they'll join us for a weekend of learning and fun!
They'll join us on the weekend of February 22nd to 24th 2025!
We'll have the pleasure of hosting a two-day intensive seminar for advanced dancers, an open practica, and a milonga with a show.
All events take place at Tangoloft Berlin.
Intensive Seminar for Advanced Dancers:
"Musicality and Interpretation"
This seminar delves into perceiving a piece of music as a composition of parts and understanding musicality as the layering of listening. We will move from broad perceptions of mood to structured divisions of musical sections, down to precise movements in time with individual notes.
Participants will learn how to refine their dance vocabulary and distribute movements with taste, break down rhythm through counting, and train with exercises designed to challenge and improve control of timing. We will discuss how both leader and follower can enrich the dance with rhythmic or melodic adornments, all while maintaining a strong connection with each other.
Further, we'll explore how to improvise while managing multiple speeds within the same dynamic flow. Finally, we’ll focus on building a compelling climax in a musical composition, creating improvisations that leave an impact.
The seminar will follow these cornerstones:
- division into parts
- choice and distribution of vocabulary
- rhythmic subdivisions
- manipulation of a sequence
- Climax build-up
Join us to hone your skills, deepen your connection to the music, and create dances that truly move both you and your audience. Are you ready to take your dance to the next level?
The seminar will be taught in 4 blocks of 2.5 hours. The seminar can only be booked as a whole. Participation is in couples only.
The price per participant is 190 € (incl. VAT).
